Over the past 10 years I have worked in online education focusing mainly on English as a foreign language, working independently, for other companies, and now as a manager of my own team. In order to expand my knowledge, develop new skills and explore my creativity while working, I began seeking learning opportunities in education, art, design, and technology.

 

Diving into Web & Digital Design during my Bachelor's program allowed me to explore my creativity in digital design and draw upon my varied life experience in order to create something to share with others. In this area I apply my skillset to create art and designs in text, motion, and image forms using Adobe Creative Cloud. Creating visually captivating designs is exciting, and I love bringing concepts to life through animation and motion, as well as through graphics and photography.

 

I was able to develop a deeper and broader understanding of the convergence of Education and Technology through a MicroMasters Certificate in Instructional Design and Technology. The coursework explored theories, applications, and approaches utilizing instructional design best practices and various platforms of course delivery. This opened up a new path in education and instruction for me, enhancing the work I had already been doing. Platform selection, gamification, emerging generative AI in delivery along with matching educators' needs by finding ways to enlighten, assess and engage learners was a world where I could see myself grow, develop, and share my skills throughout my career.​

 

It was a natural step for me to continue to blend Ed, Design and Tech by entering a full Master's program in Instructional Design & Technology from LAPU. By elevating my skills and learning new techniques and technologies, I can truly assist educators and experts in effectively delivering their content while providing learners with engaging and effective course design.​

 

My primary goal is to continue to utilize my dual interests in Instructional Design and Digital Design to create dynamic and modern learning materials and environments, delivering coursework to learners that shares the knowledge of subject matter experts and passionate professionals.
